2005/2006 Toastmaster Year Highlights

2005/2006 Toastmaster Year Highlights

I'd like to say that every member has made improvements. However, as a general rule the members who make the most improvement followed these simple rules:

Regular

No this is not an ad for a product with high fiber content. We all know Toastmasters is good for you. And your regular meeting is just the ticket to bring you to a new level.

Speech Progress

Our 2005/2006 VP of Education, Sandy, had the proviledge of handing out these awards for this year's achievements:

6 Speeches Completed towards their Competent Toastmaters (CTM)

  • Marc S.
  • Elena R.
  • June L.
  • Marcia P.
  • Vlad T.
  • Ellen

Keep up the good work! You're more than half way to getting your CTM! I look forward to seeing you grow and progress as you finish off your remaining CTM speeches next year. I urge you to look back after each speech and appreciate the progress you have made. Each step - one speech at at time - brings you closer to your goal. Brings you personal growth, and achievement.

I look forward to seeing you get your CTM awards next year!

4 new Competent Toastmasters (CTM)

  • Joe Y.
  • Bonnie S.
  • James B.
  • Ranjani M.

You made it! You got your CTM! But this is not the end.

There is still much to learn. There are still huge opportunities to grow and improve. This is merely the start of your journey towards being an Advanced Leader or an Advanced Toastmaster.

2 New Competent Leaders (CL)

  • Fred B.
  • Sandy L.

Thank you for bringing inspiring speeches to help build and grow our club!

1 Advanced Toastmaster Silver (ATM Silver)

  • Michelle W.

We encourage Michelle to keep up the good work as she works towards her Advanced Toastmaster Gold (ATM Gold)!

The End result - Club Growth & Club Success

Club growth is the end result -- NOT A GOAL. Success is the end result of hard work.

It is the individual hard work and effort that is the path to our goals. By following the path we as members and as a club can have nothing but success. I urge you to stick with it and see where this path takes you in 2006/2007 and beyond.

Enjoy the journey!

End Result - Membership Growth

52 Toastmaster Members Our membership is now at 52 - yes fifty two. Like the phoenix our club has emerged to burn brightly. When the members help other members shine brightly -- to help them become stars -- then the club grows with them.

Our goal for next year is to focus more on providing better service to our members and less on attracting new members.

End Result - The Highest Toastmasters Honour for Our Club

A constant focus on helping our members improve can have no other effect than to make our club better.

Because are members are doing their job (learning and growing) in return our club has again received the Toastmasters President's Distinguished Recognition! This is the highest designation our club can get for reaching all 10 out of 10 educational and organizational goals.

End Result - The Highest Toastmasters Honour for Our Area

[Paraphrasing: Fely R. - Outgoing Area 9 Governor]

The results are all in and Area 9 is a President's Distinguished Area for 2005-2006!
