Two Contests - One Night - One Toonie

Phoenix Toronto Toastmasters was proud to host our Area's Fall Humorous Speech and Table Topics contests. I'd like to thank all the contestants, judges, and everyone who played a supporting role. And of course also our members and guests who just came out to watch. I'm sure you all had an entertaining evening!

When, where, how

WHEN: Tuesday, October 10, 2006 @ 7:00 pm
WHERE: Etobicoke Civic Centre, Council Chambers
Admission Donation: Five dollars ($5.00)! Admission is free for contestants
Refreshments will be available.

Good luck to all our representatives! Winners from this contest go on to represent Area 58 Toastmasters at the Toastmasters Division Q contest level.

Lets not forget the Refreshments

Our admission fee included free refreshments. We had a good variety of goodies this time as well including: Our Club Fall 2006 Toastmaster Contest Organizer Lidia S.
  • Bottled water
  • Regular and Diet coke
  • Five types of juice
  • Chips
  • An assortment of cookies
  • ham
  • Turkey
  • A vast array of cheese and crackers
  • Pita bread and even a veggy tray
I'm glad we learned our lesson and added in some extra veggies. For those of you doing the math and comparing it to our Fall 2006 Club contest will have eaten about $3 worth of vegetables. I think I ate enough carrots to make Bugs Bunny jealous.

We also had Sheryl W our Toastaster Area 58 governor in attendance as one of our Contest Chairs. Special thanks to Toastmaster Division Q Governor Feli for helping preside over the meeting.
