June 27, 2006 - Year End Party at The Crooked CueThis years dinner party will be at The Crooked Cue restaurant. The party will be on Tuesday June 27th at 6:45pm. I'd like to thank all the members and guests for PAYING IN ADVANCE. This was a big help in making sure we reserved the right amount of food, facilities, and entertainment.
Party Location
The Crooked Cue3056 Bloor Street June 27th, 6:45pm (416) 236-7736 Reservations are under the name of James Bennett DirectionsThe restaurant is located just west of the intersection of Bloor Street West and Royal York Road. For a Google map click here. I hope to see you all there! ParkingThere are several coin-operated parking meter spots on Bloor Street. They are located right in front of the Crooked Cue on either side of the street. It was rumoured that the parking spots right in front of the theatre on Bloor may get you a $50 fine if you park there during theatre hours. So you might want to steer clear of those spots. :)If you are unable to find a spot right in front of the Cue just relax! There's a "Green P" parking spot just a block away with lots of spots. Go east from the Crooked Cue until you reach Brentwood. Take brentwood north. Immediately you will see a little side street on your right hand side going to the parking area. FoodWe ordered the Canadian Buffet:
If you are a vegetarian let us know. The Crooked Cue will come up with a solution a little more exciting than the "plate with a carrot and some celery on it" option. Vegetarians got a nice Stir Fry dinner. I think 100% of all vegetarians would agreed that the Stir Fry was better than personally butchering a cow and eating it raw. I'll take that as a vote of confidence on the Stir Fry. Excellent! ...Not to mention dessert! It would be a crime not to mention our great desserts! Several variety of cheese cakes. This scientist reports that his stomache was full before he could fully examine the myriad of species in full detail. Ah the difficulties of keeping up with scientific curiousity. We also had a plethera of Italian pastries. Thank you Frank. I heard at least one person being asked if they were Italian. I think the reply was along the lines of "No, but I think my Stomache might be!" :) Great choices on all the desserts! I'd like to thank the executive for deciding to include the complementary dessert along with the cost of our meal. A wise decision! EntertainmentPool tables are included with the cost of your meal. It's going to be lots of fun! Watch out for those pool sharks! I think everyone from beginner level up to uber shark level had fun at this event. If you didn't have fun at this event I can only say "You're the only one! Try harder next time!" :)If you want to look back at past memories of our Christmas Party Click here to see the fun we had at the Crooked Cue for our 2005 Christmas Party!
