2009 Area 63 Fall Contest

Area 63 Table Topics and Humorous Speech Contests took place on Thursday October 8th, 2009 at the Etobicoke Civic Centre, 399 The West Mall. Thank you for attending and showing your support for James and David.

President's Comments

"The competition was fierce.

You truly could have heard a pin drop as the judges took overtime to cast their ballots.
Time stood still and the tension mounted.
If you were at the Area 63 Contest you would know why.
If you were one of the Judges you would, definitely, know why.
It was because all the contestants were amazing.

Irene K. - Toastmaster of the Year 2008-2009 You've done it again Irene!

Irene Kaye was awarded the Outstanding Toastmaster Award for Phoenix Toronto Toastmasters.

Our congratulations and thanks to Irene!

"Outstanding Toastmaster" ("Toastmaster of the Year") is an award which recognizes one member whose educational accomplishments, club service, dedication and enthusiasm are exceptional.

A point system is used to rate member's contribution, activities and achievements. Attendance, Club Officer service, educational awards, meeting awards such as Best Table Topics and Best Evaluator, participation in contests are considered factors when determining a winner.
