Toastmaster Tip: Experiment

"Don't be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better" - Ralph Waldo Emerson... This is the essence of the tip I would like to offer.

Some of us, including myself, become nervous before we make a presentation. Of course, you need to be sincere in our efforts. However, at the same time, relax and talk to yourself that tonight is your night. Remind yourself that members are here to support you as you are for them. This type of self-talk can be helpful in improving the outcome.

Enjoy the experiment of stretching yourself to the limit. Just like the stretching exercise, the more you practice, the easier it becomes. And when you need to use it, you will be ready.
